Who was J.C. Burris? He was the nephew of virtuoso harmonica player, Sonny Terry. Like his famous uncle, J.C. Burris was a consummate blues performer, an extraordinary harmonica player and a prolific song writer.

J.C. was a popular performer in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. He rarely turned down an opportunity to, "put on a show" and his energetic performances were regularly featured at local and regional Blues festivals.

This new CD, "Long Way By Myself" from Oosik Records is a collection of JC's previously unreleased studio recordings. These intimate studio sessions are definitively the finest recordings ever made by the late J.C. Burris. Words alone can not describe JC's music.
